Hi! My prickly pears have been thriving after recently propagating them. This morning they looked normal but by noon I noticed a couple of them beginning to wilt. I know they’re not overwatered, but I think it’s too cold in my office. Would putting them in a warmer temp help them snap back? Any suggestions?

I transplanted these pads about 8 weeks ago from one mother pad. A storm came through and caused havoc. I let them callous over before inserting into the dirt. I cannot remember if I watered when I did that but within 2 weeks of their new home they were bent over and thin. I watered and let mother nature water them with each rain storm. Full sun and they are all perked up and thicker. Go ahead and water if they were calloused over. But make sure every drop of extra water leaves that pot so they will drown.

The pot is too small and probably causing dehydration.

Water definitely helped, and I took them out my office where I couldnt control the harsh AC, i think the bright light with the cold temp wasn’t making them happy and threw off the water schedule. They are thriving again. Thanks all!
