The top leaves are turning yellow on my string of hearts, I need help before it gets too bad.

That is usually a sign of overwatering, maybe let ur completely dry out

I second this! And if it’s in regular potting soil, it may help to add perlite for more airspace. I have my string of hearts planted in cactus/succulent soil.
3 likesIt’s potted in cactus/ succulent soil. I’ve beeen watering it when the app tells me too, so I think I might just skip it and check it with my stick to see how dry the soil is before I water again.
2 likesWith string of hearts do the ‘taco’ test. Gently squeeze a leaf, if it easily fold then they need water, if its a bit firm then leave them. Definitely wait till its a bit healthier to start this as the current leaves are possibly soft due to overwatering. Always use the app as a reminder not a rule. Check your plant and if it doesn’t need water then snooze the task.
