my succulent had little babies! should i propagate them? I see little roots so I’m assuming I can make them a new plant. do I need to put them in water so the roots grow? any guidance is much appreciated!

i think this is a sempervivum, i’d recommend searching the web for “sempervivum propagation” … i’m sure there are plenty of articles by people experienced in their care

Yes, it’s definitely a sempervivum, other wise know and hen and chicks, because it grows little ones all around her. You could transfer to a wider pot and let the babies continue to grow attached to the mother. You could also chop them off and plant them separately. I do not recommend to start them in water, as succulents do not need that much water.

Tip: you can differentiate echeverias from sempervivum very simply, sempervivum have little spikes/ serrated borders on the leaves. Echeverias are smooth.
