I learned my lesson about “cute” pots. I noticed some gnats hovering around my snake and my Zz raven so I did an investigation. Both had rotting parts under the soil. Zz had an oozy rhizome :( both in smallish terracotta pots now) I guess being a new plant parent is a learning experience. I know my weaknesses now. No cute pots that are too big and not well draining because I’m a newb lol I do think I need a run to the store though. I only had a 6” pot for my snake but 8 seems like too much soil.

I have sooo many pots but have also learned terracotta tends to work best for me and my home’s conditions. I find the learning experience to be so fun.
