Does anyone know if this is some kind of fungus? Scale? From the water? If I gently use my fingernail it kind of sluffs off… I’m so perplexed.

I would guess it’s minerals/salts excreted through the pours in the leaves usually due to the water. My Jade always has some on it (not quite as much as yours) and it doesn’t have a problem. I would clean them off with a damp cloth and keep an eye on it to make sure its not a pest or fungus of some sort.

Agreed. I use distilled water so that minerals don’t continue to build up

좋아요 1개I’ll have to look up scale and do some research. If I lightly scrape it’s totally dry. Kinda flakey and white.
좋아요 1개I think you’re probably right. But all the scale bumps are white and so it seems like it died? I removed it from the planter, trimmed off the worst leaves, and will rehabilitate it.

I’d quarantine it until you figure it out.
