Need some help with this little succulent. These are my first succulents and they were really overwatered for the first two weeks and this guy lost a decent number of lower leaves. I’m really happy to see the new growth but just surprised that it’s so high up the flower stalk. Has anyone ever seen this before? Should I remove the stalk completely to encourage lower growth or see how it plays out?

Yeah that happens a lot to me- it’s stretched out because it’s reaching for more sun. You could leave it the way it is and embrace it’s funky shape (but if you can also move it to more sun definitely do that), or you can trim it off just below those little white “hairs” (which are potential roots actually). Then you can propagate that part you’ve clipped off.
