Hey Guys, I have a quick question. I just bought my plant from walmart yesterday. Do I have to replant it into a new pot or is this small pot fine? Does it get bigger than this?

Take the plant out of its pot, if the roots seem compact, then repot it, if it doesn’t, leave it. You’re welcome.

- Wolfie -Slide it out of the pot, if the roots are compact then repot it 1” - 2” of a bigger pot. Make sure soil has good drainage and drainage holes too. Also that looks like a golden barrel cactus baby if you needed help with that!

When I get a new plant I always repot. I prefer clay/terracotta. As for sizing up, I’d do what the first commenter recommended. If the roots seem to fill most of the pot I’d go up the next size. I’ve found they generally fill out pretty quickly when they have room. I have a babe like this too and haven’t planted up yet. The pot it came in was probably 1.5” or so. I put it in a 2” terracotta pot and it doesn’t seem to be growing much. Don’t go too big, you don’t wanna drown the roots. (Apologies if you already know all that. I just love cacti)
