Got some pencil cactus cuttings off Etsy for 5 bucks, hope they root. I really only needed one or two but they sent quite a few.

    I like getting cuttings and/or bare root plants. It keeps costs down, gives me more experience opportunities, and I’m thinking fewer chances of bringing in pests.

    Once they root, you should put it outside for the summer. They love it. I rescued one a few years ago it was about 4 or 5” and half dead. It’s now well over a foot. They do really well.
