Found these little babies at Aldi’s today. There were a few more varieties… but I didn’t want to go nuts as I’m leaving for vacation in a few days. Short and spiked has got some roots coming through the bottom. Any advice for these lil guys?

You could probably put it in a slightly larger pot! Wait to water until the soil is completely dry. You can use a wooden skewer to test and if soil sticks to it, it’s still wet.

Wear gloves when handling! Repotting cacti has got to be my least favorite part of the hobby. 🧤

Wrapping in newspaper is also helpful.

My favorite tip with cactus is water till it comes out the drainage! Or soak for 15-30 mins in some water. (Bottom watering) Then let it drain all access for an hour and even better more, always check your drainage vessel as well. That’s the best way I’ve had to water mine.

Cacti don’t need to be moved unless you want it to grow bigger! I have a blue agave that I keep in a 10” pot so I can take it with me whenever I move.
