Hey everyone! Hope y’all can help me clarify/identify what’s going on with my Pickle Plant Succulent! For a while now, it’s base and all the leaves around the base have been dried up and brittle. (I actually think I got it that way) while the rest of it is thriving. I originally thought it was corking, so I let it be. But I just noticed that new leaves are sprouting from the dried bits! Reverse corking? Zombie pickle? 😅 I usually err on the side of “more time between watering” (cause I know thanks I don’t, root rot for everyone!) But is this a sign that it needs more water? Or just keep doing what I’m doing and see what happens?

It is more of a “Zombie pickle”. They will grow from dead places when the dead branch is producing water. There might be a few aerial roots under it that you do not see. Or it still has water in the branch. Either way it means it’s happy!!!!!

Cool - thank you!! So should I/would it benefit the little guy if I beheaded the healthy parts and repotted them?
