Last year I cross pollinated a yellow Christmas cactus and pink Christmas cactus and recently harvested and planted the seeds. Today I see the first sprout. Pretty interesting process!

      I used a q-tip when the flowers bloomed and moved pollen from one plant to the next. Then that flower produced a seed pod and I waited impatiently for it to turn pink and be ready and then squished the seeds out and planted them. Here is a photo of the seed pod after I took it off the plant.
