I have had this spearhead plant for about five years at least. It’s always been fine but now it’s doing this. Haven’t changed anything, not it’s watering or light. Anyone have a clue what’s going on with it?

Totally confused. I started pulling the dead and the rotten leaves off and it looks like overwatering to me but I always use a water meter. Very strange.

Perhaps it’s root-bound and needs to be repotted?

No, it was repotted a couple of months ago. 🤷‍♀️

Is it nearing the end of its natural life?

moisture meters aren’t always accurate, a bamboo chopstick or your finger is going to get you a much more accurate reading. many people have killed their plants with moisture meters

lol I purchased a moisture meter because I am wonderful at killing succulents otherwise. I still check with my finger if I am unsure about the reading. All my succulents are doing great though except for that one.
