I just got my first succ today! he came with a lil baby with its own root system. i repotted him and gave his lil baby his tiny pot. any tips to help the baby survive??

    Do the same thing as the parent! Adding humidity (covering it) may help!!

    Water him when he dries out. Give him food.

    The pots are too big, the soil is way too dense and organic, causing a wet and humid environment and finally the plant is placed too low in the pot causing a shadow and blocking light. Also, the baby needed to stay attached to the mother plant longer and grow bigger and stronger in order to better its chance of survival. It may live but I wouldn’t count on it.

      thank you! i just got soil for cacti and succulents, and pots more fitting for their size. i didn’t realize their was a baby attached until i saw it in the soil next to the bigger plant, so i figured it may not live. Thank you!
