purchased a succ that was etiolated and thought I’d be able to maintain it that way. he started going downhill so I just ditched the big parts and planted the healthy stuff in a smaller pot. it’s really just an experiment, but I’m wondering if it’ll root in here? just gave it a good bath and gave it a lil plant food so we’ll see what happens. let me know if y’all have advice!

I had a huge version that would go from blue to pale to blue and stretch for no apparent reason. I put it out of any direct sun for five months to leave it alone, and it managed to grow; it was outside in various sun for months and looked about the same. Any small limbs that fell off were stuck in other pots and grew without fuss. As far as getting the deep blue, I would also love some advice.

In my experience succulents easily root, so you shouldn’t have a problem. Usually you would allow soil to completely dry before watering again but while roots are developing, keep the soil a bit moist.
