Trying to revive this cactus I was given, can someone help me figure out what to do? I watered it yesterday.

    I think it might be rotten at the top where the green is yellowing. 😢. Does it feel squishy? The planter is awesome!

    It’s definitely overwatered and has rot. I’m not sure that anything can be saved, unfortunately. You could try to save the very bottom part where it’s still green by chopping the rest off.

      I water it once a week or once every two weeks

      You shouldn’t ever water a cactus unless all of the soil is completely dried out. I water most of my cacti once every 3-4 weeks

    When you’re able, they sell little water gauge readers on Amazon for around 10. No batteries needed. I’ve started using one because I think I might water too much.

      Yes these are very useful! It’s much more common for plants to die of overwatering than underwatering.
