I’ve always wanted this plant to fill out, but I feel like it’s been pretty stagnant for about a year. I never see new propagations from pieces that fall off either. It’s under a grow light, in well draining mix and a terracotta pot. Any tips to make it thrive??
How strong is the grow light? How many foot candles? I have only had luck with direct sunlight or sunlight and a grow light. Not sure where you are located but me in Canada a south or southwest window that gets a lot of direct sunlight. Also trying a much smaller pot might help. This large a pot it will put more energy into the roots instead because it will need a lot of roots to manage the amount of water it will be getting every time you water it.
1 like The grow light may not be strong enough, but I’m in Phoenix so full sun is basically an oven. Maybe I should try giving it a little direct sun during the day, but I don’t want to totally fry it.

Try feeding it, sometimes fertilizer is the push it needs to take off
2 likes I do fertilize but hasn’t seemed to make much of a difference with this guy ☹️
0 likesMy burro tail thrives in an east facing window and I water and fertilize according to Planta schedule. Your pot may be a bit big and your plant is putting energy into the roots to fill the pot. I think if they are a little pot bound you would get more lengthy growth
