does anyone have any tips for transitioning succulents from inside to outside? string of hearts specifically!

    Introduce them to the outdoors in stages. Go from shady to sunny over a 2-3 week period. You must acclimate them to avoid the sudden shock of intense light. Think of how you react to bright light when suddenly being woken up.

    Plants get get very stressed during the process if you do it wrong. I made the mistake of taking my Calla Lily from dark shade to bright morning light!

    I think it depends where you are too - I took my SOH from a south east indoor window to a north west covered patio in central Florida and it had zero problems adjusting. Seems to be enjoying the shadier but warmer/more humid environment cuz it’s putting out way bigger leaves!

    Doing it the spring or early summer (like now) is the perfect time, so that the temps aren’t too extreme.
