   You may be able to take the arm that shot out from the part that is dying and cut it off. Then, until it grows roots, soak the cut part in water. May want a second opinion, because I have little experience with doing this successfully because I am new to cacti propagation.

   For sure you could save the arm and propigate it! But also, you may be able to just cut off the dying yellow top of mom right to where she turns green, and just let top callus over. Looks like she got overwatered or has some rot issues? Check roots for sure. But there is hope for both ways of saving. Maybe try one, then the other if mom continues to yellow down.

     Thanks, the grafted part on top went first and then seemed to damage the rest
