New to the group and wanted to share! I went to Home Depot about a month, maybe a month and a half ago, and they had string of pearls plants for sale. I collected whatever broken off pieces I could find (I never go to a store with a plant section without coming home with succulent leaves to propagate) and now I have a string of pearls plant that seems to be happy and growing well! Anyone else bring home random plant pieces to propagate when they visit the plant shelter section of stores, or is it just me?

      I hope not too! I just always figured it would get thrown out anyway so I never thought it mattered.

      i saw a video somewhere that said it’s only stealing if you rip something off of the plant. but if it’s on the ground it’s fair game😂

    i do the same thing :) every time i go to the nursery i propagate some succulents! on my most recent trip, i got a little pink aloe plant, a variegated string of pearls, a string of hearts, a variegated jade plant, and a calico kitten! very nice

    I tried doing this for the first time, i found some fallen leaves and brought it hopme and one of them rooted but shortly withered away afterwards. Im not sure if i misted them too much or not enough. But i was surpised that i was able to get at least one of them to root 😅
