You are on the right track!😊 A few notes… You can mist succulent leaves you are propagating to encourage root growth, but only if they are in a location that allows them to dry out so the leaves don’t rot. You can also use a spray bottle to water baby succulents with shallow leaves so you only get the top section of dirt with roots wet. Full grown succulents do not need to be misted for sure as it will cause the leaves to rot. Instead, water the quick drying soil thoroughly until it runs out of the bottom. Then withhold watering again until the plant shows sign of needing water. These include wrinkling leaves, pliable leaves, or just less firm leaves depending on the succulent. It is okay if water gets on the leaves while watering if you don’t live in a high humidity environment and the leaves can dry out within an hour. Root rot is due to the roots staying wet not the leaves getting wet. But, yes, the leaves can rot if they stay wet too long.
