Hi all! I’ve had this aloe plant for almost 4 years now. Recently, the bottom leaves on the plant have either shriveled up and dried out or the tips of the leaves have started to turn reddish-brown. The top of the plant is fine. It’s 1-2 ft from a south facing window and has been in this spot for 2 years no problem. No extreme temperature changes or deviations from its watering/fertilizing schedule… any clue what could be going on??

it could just be healthy leaf loss to make room for the new growth! take the dried leaves off the plant, and if you notice it keeps happening then something is probably wrong. when was the last time it was repotted? maybe its rootbound and drying the soil out too quick?

It was repotted last May! It has grown significantly since, not sure if I will have to repot again this spring

I think Browning can be caused by overwatering, underwatering, overcrowding, pests, or just aging of the lower leaves! You have lots of options! The spring you could remove the shrively bottom leaves and plant it deeper. But not too deep just below the lowest leaf. You probably know that already though because you already transplanted it and it looks like you did a fine job.
