Hello succulent lovers, I am a well known succulent and cacti hater. I can never keep them alive. However, my grandma very lovingly brought me a BUNCH of plants. Including this jade type plant? She gave it to me in a pot with no drainage which led me to repotting. However when repotting I realized it has no roots whatsoever. How do I get this to root? And please, send good vibes. I’ve never been able to get succulents to root or live.

That's a Gollum Jade. Possibly underwatered. I have a few, but I've never had one with no roots. Whatever you do, I would first remove a healthy leaf and use it to grow a new plant, as a "backup" in case this one doesn't grow.

They root easily. I would trim off more of the stem. Leave enough to root in soil. Let the stem callous over about a day. Then plant it in good succulent soil. Should be very gritty. All you do is poke a hole in the soil and place the stem in. Moisten the soil around the stem. Do not drench. Do this a few times a week until roots develop. Best pot is a small shallow terracotta pot.
