    the soil looks too moisture-retentive for a succulent, i would be willing to bet even after the top dries out it’s still very wet at the bottom of the pot, which can easily rot the roots. how often do you water it?

      this app tells me when i should water maybe im giving her to much water when i do?

      this app is notorious for telling people to overwater, you definitely shouldn’t always trust it 😅 this is the golden rule of thumb for cactus/succulents: only water when you start to see it shrivel slightly or it feels softer to the touch. they hold water in their leaves so there’s no need to water even when the soil is completely dry, until you start to see signs of thirst in your plant. i only water my succulents once a month and they do great, any sooner and they start to rot. i looked at the plant profile attatched to this post and it’s crazy that this app is telling you to water once a week! that’s the fastest way to kill a succulent 😅 by the way, the amount of water doesn’t matter, you just want to make sure it’s enough to start draining out of the holes in the bottom of the pot so you know it’s fully saturated

    It's the soil mix it's in. I would repot with something way more gritty. You can make your own mix or get a specialty one off Amazon but you want something with way less organic matter and a lot more drainage.

      Also if your growing it inside it isn't getting warm enough to dry out completely in between waterings. Repot to save the stems that arnt rotted and regardless of what the app says check to make sure it's completely dry before watering. Make sure it's getting enough sun in a warm spot and tht will help too.

    I looked through your plant profile. Part of the reason planta is telling to water so much is because it doesnt have a lot of information. If you scroll all the way down and fill out all the missing information it will give you a better schedule.

      I wish the app let us comment on other people's plants when we look through there profiles. I noticed your Aloe is marked wrong. It's actually Aloe massawana.
