I’m new to succulents and am wondering if this is normal for Echeveria? I am used to the flat hen and chicks (Sempervivum) in colder climates but these seem to be growing taller. One is starting to push a flower so I am assuming it is getting the sun it needs (outside on eastern facing front porch without roof) but wasn’t sure if it is searching for something and that is why they seem to be stretching out.

    It’s totally normal for echeverias to do this! Usually it’s so they can grow another plant underneath them. Kind I like the picture.

    I agree that your plants look happy with the amount of sun they’re getting. If they weren’t getting enough light, there would begin to be large gaps between the new leaves at the top. That isn’t the case here though, so you’re doing great!
