What is the best succulent soil? I’ve been using miracle grow but I just saw a comment saying to avoid it.

    Espoma’s Organic Cactus and Succulent soil. Has never failed me. It’s about $5-7 where I live. A lot of folks turn away from Miracle Grow cause it’s become an infamous plant killer for how its soil stays wet for way too long, and often attracts pests or leads to root rot. I’ve had awful experiences with it. It’s easy to find because box stores like Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Walmart all have deals with the company to sell their brand exclusively.

    You can mix miracle gro succulent soil with perlite in a 1:1 ratio for cheap and quick draining soil. This DIY combo works well for me.

    i use fox farm ocean forest as a base and add perlite and sand — sol soils has a nice gritty succ premix too, it’s pricier though
