    Wow I love his colors, all of the beautiful succulents and cacti on here has really made me want to take the plunge and get a few for myself!

      Thank you, he’s really coming along! And you definitely should! I just love my succulents — so many varieties and easy to take care of (neglect ftw!).

      What would you recommend to someone who is used to more tropical plants? Asking for a friend lol

      Maybe we can exchange notes 😅 recently getting into tropicals and it’s been… very hit or miss so far. They are basically opposites in terms of care so it’s been interesting to unlearn; everything that works for my succs would unalive my trops! Watering and substrate are probably the biggest differences, also more sun than you think then more! Also let them DRY OUT, like bone dry. Then bottom water and/or top water until the water is pouring through the soil. When they thirsty they thirsty — but maybe 1-2/mo at most. Hope that helps!

      Definitely very different! Thank you for the advice, it’s definitely helpful I definitely need to change my watering habits for my aloe lol. I think for tropics it depends on what kind you have but for me i generally water when the top few inches are dry, however I like to keep the air around my plants humid so that definitely helps, I also like to water more frequently but water less at a time, although some of my plants also appreciate a good water and letting the water run out of the bottom, maybe I could help if I knew more specifically what plants you had? I’ll definitely be looking into getting into succulents though, thank you!
