I hate myself when I make rash purchases. ———————— Let’s say I bought this in November/December 2025. I couldn’t resist the singing of the 50% Off Sale Sirens as I walked around the store getting what I needed. The container of succulentS had been fine for the first two months. Then one day I noticed the pencil cactus had begun to die. And within 5 days it began to cascade die. I removed any other succulents from the pot that were there. Most of them, too small to also recover, eventually died. I already know water was the culprit. That I had watered the damn thing and that’s what caused it. It has not been watered for over eight weeks now. Not watering it has slowed any more death happening to the pencil cactus. I don’t want to say it stopped, but it has slow dramatically. The other plant that’s in the pot also seems fine. It is a Sansevieria Jade I believe. ———————— I love pencil cactuses when they’re small. 😎 I hate pencil cactuses when they’re growing wildly.😡 Both plants in the image are in the original plastic pot, & original soil too, which is kind of barky on top but no idea under that. ———————— Pretend time… Hello.
