They like being misted every second day and water it every second week and place it in a place that gets bright indirect sunlight. Also this is a thanksgiving cactus, which are commonly mislabeled as Christmas cactus. The segments being prominently clawed tells you that they are a thanksgiving cactus and I understand how confusing the difference is, even I was confused which one is which.

Thank you for the great tips! My sister had told me that most labeled as Christmas cactus are actually Thanksgiving cactus!! It took me awhile to find out for sure-so thank you for that confirmation ☺️

Congrats! I love mine! I would say my best tips are: - bright indirect light (mine lives in an east window. I live in New England). - Repot every year or two, if you give them bigger spaces they will grow to fit & get large and impressive! - mine blooms most of the late fall/winter. The best I can tell is the lower light where I live during those times triggers it. You could probably mimic that if you live some place with more light, by pulling curtains. - use fertilizer for flowering plants & dust (I use a feather duster) to keep the leaves clean (the flowers drop pollen).

Not really a growing tip, but if you want more of the plants, take one of the cactus leaves and plant it in a new pot
