I need help, I won her on a giveaway away and it got here like this. It’s mushy and idk what to do

    Mushy is not a good sign. Usually you could cut off the mushy part but this is too small I think to do that. There would be nothing left.

    Oof, yeah I suppose I’d just set it on some dry, gritty soil and wait to see if anything happens. If you can cut some mushy away, let it sit that-side-up for a couple days to callous and then place it very shallowly in soil. There’s…probably still a 70-80% chance it won’t make it, and you’d likely be babying it for a solid year.

    I’ve seen them at Walmart before so maybe you can find a new one! They were only 6 or 8 dollars! Good luck planty friend 🙂

    I'd let it dry all the way out (3 days to a week), give it some cactus soil, water it in, and then don't water it at all for at least a month. Last time I repotted my healthy cactus, the part under the soil was slightly squishy and looked similar, so yours may not be rotting. If it is rotting, there's not much you can do with such a short cactus.
