One of my cactus' is doing really well but the other one has a giant brown dent in it. I give it plenty of water and sunlight. What does it need?

    a picture might help diagnose whats up - is the dent squishy or hard? if its squishy and smells bad, then its rot. you can cut above the rotten part and let it callous over, and then set it in some succulant/cactus soil and it should root! if its harder, it might just be corking, which is normal. cacti dont need a lot of water; they are drought tolerant, as a lot of them are native to dry desert-y reigons. make sure to water only when soil is 100% dry :)
