    Maybe rethink the planter size. It may be too large for your plant. Too much soil for too small roots means the soil will stay wet longer than it should.

    I agree, it needs a pot downsize. On average, a pot should be about 1-2 inches bigger than the root mass, though succulents often prefer a slightly tighter fit. For soil when you repot, use a high drainage cactus mix. Adding a little bit of perlite or small gravel at the very bottom can help prevent root rot. Succulents also tend to do well in unglazed terracotta, since that helps wick away unneeded moisture. Avoid getting water in the spot where the leaves meet; it can get stuck there and rot the plant
