Hi guys, I bought this cactus from Home Depot last night and I was wondering if I should take the decorative flower off? Will it harm my plantâs growth to keep it? If I should remove, how should I do so without damaging the plant? Itâs glued on from what I can tell

0 gillningarI have no clue why they put them on there. People should want cacti because theyâre unique and different! Not cause theyâre pretty flowering plants. Which they are. But I think theyâre just cool!

I had one of these on my cactus and I just gently pulled it off, it did pull a few spikes off but it didnât harm the plant at all :)

Iâm always annoyed when I see those fake flowers on cacti. Definitely take it off!
0 gillningar Okay I will once I get home. I have never seen one with a fake flower before but I was at Home Depot with the husband getting tools for work. I seen it and I was like âI want it,â once I got home I was trying to figure out how to take it off or if it was necessary to do so.

Not a decoration! Itâs a âhandling deviceâ to save you from getting poked during repotting! But they come off easy enough with a q-tip and a touch of rubbing alcohol.
