    I think the repot was a good call. mine usually look like this when they are in compacted soil

      What kind do you recommend? I usually just use miracle grow potting soil

      Try soil specific for cactus. Maybe sure pot has drainage and make sure it gets lots of daylight/sunlight. I found mine thriving better this way
