Writing about my jade plant again… I recently got a grow light, I watched a bunch of videos and it seemed reputable. I am currently using it on my jade plant because they need substantial sun and normally jades start to get this pinkish red colour when they get enough sun. I used to put the jade plant outside if it was warm enough and so he started to get that colour and the grow light continued to encourage that but lately it’s been fading. Anyone have any idea why? First picture is before, second is after.

A grow light won’t give the suntan like true sunlight but that doesn’t mean your plant won’t thrive!

Yes, I agree with eatyacarbs. Although it will show the red in the perfect conditions, not having it doesn’t mean it’s not happy. As long as it’s a darker shade of green and growing then it’s fine.😊 If you want to give it more light, you can get the light closer if possible. I think the statistic is every inch away is 10% less light. Also the intensity matters. My lower light succulents are under a 5000K grow light and my full sun ones are under a 6500K one. But a lot of them won’t reach full coloring without being put outside in the actual sunlight.

Thanks! I will move the grow light closer then! If you go to the link for dusty and look at some of the previous picture you can see how much the grow light has improved this guys state. Thanks for your suggestions.😊
