Thoughts or suggestions? Just moved my citrus plants (1st year lemon, lime, and orange) inside for the winter as we’re gonna be starting to hit low 30s F next week. Had this cheap greenhouse frame so got a role of 6mil reflective mylar and added some LED full spectrum grow lights I use for hydroponics, they lean red so wasn’t sure if I should add some blues or if this will suffice since the lemon and orange are starting to bud anyway. First time overwintering citrus trees so any tips welcomed. Thanks!

Hey babes, I have a elephant bush that is doing well but doesn’t seem to be thickening her leafs keep falling off. She’s In a south facing window, she gets sunlight most of the day but it’s also filtered she isn’t directly in the window she sits on a stand in front of the window. I’ve had her for about 4 years or more. I am not sure why her leaves fall off but she’s on a pretty set watering schedule of about once a week - twice. I look at when she is dry, I know she’s similar to a jade plant so I’m not trying to over water her, but this happens a lot it seems and I’m worried about her. I’ve attached her to the post.. hopefully you can see her.

🌧️ So it’s been raining in my area off and on for several days… 🌧️ I’m also in the process of bringing houseplants inside for fall/winter. It occurred to me - is during/just after heavy rainfall a good time to bring plants indoors, because many pests will be washed away/can’t stand 100% humidity? Bringing bugs inside is my biggest fear during this process. 🪰😣🐜

HELP PLEASE I do not know what this plant is. It’s been in my collection for a year or two. It looked like a good option and so I got it, when I got it, it sat in my room ( north facing window in the basement) it had a plant light and I watered it according to the schedule, and sometimes when it was dry I’d water it. I researched about the plant and was told it’s a corn plant, it says it’s supposed to get big and tall but it hasn’t grown more then an inch for two years, I’ve given it fertilizer repotted when its roots got root bound, and switched it to a south facing window, it’s now in a south-east facing window, but the sun hits it for the majority of the day until the trees filter the sun out. I’ve gone off the care types of planta, and other websites. I don’t know what to do. Its leaves slowly turn brown at the bottom or dry and fall off, it’s grown an inch since I got it, no flowering, not a lot of new growth, what plant is this? How to I help it grow to its potential? Any and all types are welcome

Pro tip for those high humidity plants: Mist or water new emerging leaves. And by "water" I mean direct your spout so you're literally watering the leaf (think of it like you're pretending to be a big rainstorm 😄). Humidity not only keeps plant leaves from crisping up, but also prevents friction when new leaves are unfurling. Friction will damage new plant leaves or prevent it from opening up entirely for some plants. I've mentioned once before that I personally don't believe misting plants is a good substitute for a humidifier, because it's largely temporary and won't change the % humidity of your actual room. (You can find various sources for AND against misting online, and come to your own conclusions based on what you think makes sense to you.) But man, there are definite noticeable differences I've seen when I mist/water new leaves. Like you could see my Calathea orbifola leaf just relax and open up when I added water! And I keep my room at 60% (the suggested minimum for many high humidity plants).

My Dracaena masoniana is doing really well, thankfully. I have searched online for info on this plant and haven’t found much except to care for it the same as any Dracaena. It only had one leaf when I bought it but now has a pup. Will it produce more of these, is it typical for this plant? The pup appears to not be connected at the above soil level to the plant. Is this how the plant reproduces or is it its typical growth pattern? I appreciate any info on it!! Mary
