Purchased this orbifolia even though it had some yellowing and brown around the edges - I trimmed those pieces off. It seems they came back and though the plant looks significantly healthier than when purchased, it’s not looking great or showing new growth. This is one my fave plants and I’ve always had success with them but this one doesn’t seem to be healing. Any advice? (It’s def not overwatered or in direct sunlight). Does it look unhealthy to you or am I being dramatic like a calathea. (Only watered with spring or rainwater).

Does anyone in this group use fish in their rain water barrel set up? I’ve been researching hung rain barrels and my husband came across some videos but they’re more homestead and farm oriented vs house plant watering.

Hi! I just got a syngonium pixie today and the pot was way too large for it so I repotted it in this pot I had. I’ve never used this kind of pot where it soaks up the water. Do you think this pot is suitable for a syngonium? Or should I save this pot for a different plant?

Any easy plant ideas that need low humidity and low light?

Does anyone know if I need to do something specific to this orchid in order for flowers to bloom? Since I’ve gotten it with flowers I haven’t had flowers since, but I’ve had new leaves grow very big so health wise it’s good. Thank you!

Update on my parlor palm: I trimmed all of the dead stuff of with clean scissors and it's looking healthier already! I'll give more updates soon.

I just repotted all 5 of my plants. 🪴 My question is do I water them now or wait until the scheduled watering in 2 days? My soil tester says alls good water wise so just wondering. I don’t want to overwater.

Quick questions, I just bought these beautiful plants yesterday and need to repot them. Can I use a general all purpose potting soil for all of them? If so do you have suggestions for any? Does the snake plant need a different type of potting soil, if so, what’s a good one? I’m new to taking care of plants 🪴 so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi! I am posting because I need help! I have recently potted a couple of cosmos and a few other variety of flower bulbs … a few days later I went out front to see majority of dirt is thrown out of each pot but bulbs have not been touched. In order to prevent what ever the heck is getting into my plants what should I do? The creature never touches any of my other bloomed plants

Allow me to introduce you all to my newest indoor plant babies! 😂 I’m new to indoor gardening AND in a new home where I’m unfamiliar with the light conditions. Frustratingly, my home only has two light options: second story southwest windows with bright, sometimes direct light in the afternoon and northeast windows lightly filtered to through trees. Please, bless my black thumb with your wisdom. 🍋lemon mint (Monarda citriodora): In potting mix with perlite, facing part sun/part shade (sometimes full sun) on southwest windowsill. 🪻lavender hidcote blue (lavandula angustifolia): In potting/perlite/sand mix, facing part sun/part shade (sometimes full sun) on southwest windowsill. 🐍rattlesnake plant (calathea insignus): In tropical soil, facing indirect sun two feet in a desk from southwest window, will be drinking bottled water like the diva I’ve heard he is.

I just got this china doll plant from a friend and I want to make sure it is getting the best care possible. Any tips for me?

This was my first plant baby. She has grown so much. However is only growing taller and it’s starting to lean. I put some support sticks in. Will this plant grow wider instead of taller? If so any advice on how to do that?

Does anyone know if you have to harden off/acclimatize plants to the outdoors if you overwintered them with grow lights? I have saffron crocuses that never wilted back so I was advised to over winter them with grow lights for 6hrs a day (and just a couple weeks ago I upped it to 12hrs with spring being eminent) it’s getting near our last frost date (zone 6B) so it’s time to bring them out but should I do it gradually? They never wilted back and got suuuuuuper long.

What is the current opinion on drainage options for replanting - adding rocks or similar to the bottom of the pot? Or is just potting soil okay?
