Please be kind, I’m just a beginner. Someone gave me this aloe vera plant six years ago and he’s just getting way too big for what they put him in, how do I transfer him without killing him?!

Honestly, its prob fine, they have pretty small root systems.

If you do want to transfer before it gets any harder tho, I usually take a table knife and run it along the sides of the pot to loosen the soil away from it. Maybe kinda pry it up and out a bit. And very gently pull on the top. Aloe are pretty hardy, I've had one literally fall out of the pot onto the ground and bust quite a few leaves but it was fine.

Ok, thank you. I mean it started out as one now there’s three, it’s got two other aloe vera plants underneath it growing…it’s so heavy, so I know I have to transfer it soon.

Yep. It does look like it might be a bit difficult with all those leaves in the way, so its probably wise to do it sooner rather than later. Good luck!

KayleneWater the soil a bit so it slides out easier. Use something long to help loosen it up around the perimeter it will be fine. Aloe is quite resilient

SophieDo you have a friend or another person who could help you? After you loosen the soil, maybe one person can hold the bucket down and the other person can gently lift the plant out
