Weird find on my Zz todayâŠ. Itâs got these weird rings on a few of its stems. Def not pests, I thoughly checked him and the surrounding others. I did put it on a lower shelf recently but it didnât get banged or damaged that way Iâm sure. Anyone seen this? They feel slightly raised.

Iâve seen this when plants grow quickly and the outer, thicker skin doesnât have time to adjust. Like stretch marks! If the plant doesnât show any other signs of pests or wound healing, I would lean towards this
3 gillningar No other signs of pests, no wounds that I can see. And there are other stems on either side of this one that has marks that donât have marks on them that are also on the outer side/edges of the plant that would of gotten wounded if Iâd whacked him off the shelf while moving. If I recall correctly these are the newer stems he grew this summer so maybe youâre right. I never knew plants could get stretch marks!!! Theyâre so perfectly straight and even itâs super odd!

1 gilla I struggle soooo hard with ZZs so mine isnât a favorite đ no matter what I do itâs unhappy lol. Yours looks to be THRIVING !!
1 gilla Oh thatâs too bad! I just ignore mine so I guess they like the neglect. lol. He put out 5 or 6 new stems this summer so I guess heâs really enjoying the neglect!!!
