so this is very much in advance but i recently became a plant owner for the very first time and im at university right now. I’ve got an ivy, a small cactus and a small jade/money plant. I can’t bring them back home with me during the christmas break, so i was wondering how to make sure they don’t die over that period 😓 if anyone has any advice at all, please lmk!! i’ve attached pictures of my new plants here :)

The cactus and jade will be ok without water (as long as you water them throughly before you leave). The ivy, not so much. How about a self-watering pot for her? A grow light with timer will also help make sure they get sufficient light while you’re away and the sunlight is minimal (assuming you’re in the northern hemisphere).
좋아요 1개 tysm for the advice!! i’ll defo buy a self watering pot for my ivy, the window in my room faces south west so it gets a lot of sun from around midday-evening so would i still need to get a grow light or will they be okay without one? I really appreciate your advice!! as a new plant parent, i have no idea what i’m doing 😅
