eatyacarbsSnake plants loooove light!! If you want it to grow put it in the sunniest spot you’ve got & let it dry alllll the way out before watering. Water until it runs through and out of the drainage holes. I use liquid succulent fertilizer every other watering

Is outside a preferred spot then? Or still best indoor, just with sunlight!

JosieOnce it’s acclimated to being in your home, repot that bad boy with some well draining mix that will help keep it from staying wet too long and it will help it thrive. Snake plants are easy care as long as they don’t get over watered!

Sorry if this sounds a little dumb, but i bought it from home depot & wasnt sure if i shouldve gotten potting soil or succulent food. Can you tell im a beginner lol. Just lost on the process of the transition. Trying to do my own research but everyones opinions seem different so im not too sure what to listen to.

My snake plant is in regular potting soil that I mixed a hearty amount of perlite and orchid bark into. Mine seems to be perfectly happy with it. You can also use cactus mix but I would still recommend adding perlite to it for extra drainage. Having a well draining soil mix is really important for these types of plants and so is having drainage in the pot. Make sure the pot is no bigger than 1-2 inches bigger than the root ball.
