Hey, so I have a grow light station for most of my plant babies and it works great but it’s not able to be synced to the sunset and the sunrise or have a timer so it’s ends up being on all day everyday. I’m wondering if this is bad for my plants and or if you have any ideas that would be great too Thank youuu🙏🙏🪴🥲
I wouldn’t suggest having an all day light for your plants as it can cause them to get burned or just not be as healthy. I’m not sure on what to do with the timer though? My best guess would be to just manually turn it on/off.

0 Me gustaIf you mean it’s on 24/7, that isn’t good for them. They do need a read period. All but 2 of my lights have settings for 8 hrs, 12 hrs and 16 hrs. Or whatever. The two that are manual, I turn on as soon as I get up in the morning, then as soon after sunset as I think about it or before I go to bed just as part of my daily routine. If this isn’t possible, can you plug the lights into a surge protector or something like that and have the surge protector on a timer

Add a timer and you can regulate the time on and off for as many hours as needed. Some Plants will require up to 16 hours in order for them to bloom on average 12 hours a day is sufficient. Don’t put the lights too close because they will burn your plants. Happy growing!
Most plants need rest time away from light. This is when they convert all that stored energy and produce more growth hormones to continue thriving.

Plants need time in the dark just as importantly as they need time in bright light. They change processes in the cells and work on other tasks than photosynthesis during the dark periods.

Most of mine use a smart plug, then it is all automated regardless of the type of light. I use Phillips hue for most everything but I think any smart plug would have an app and the ability to set a schedule.
