I got this money tree about 3 weeks ago. I’ve never had luck with it before, somehow it always die on me. Anyways, I’ve read that money tree roots are banded with a rubber band. So I want to remove it and transfer to a clear pot so I can see its roots. Should I repot or wait? And if I repot, what’s the best soil ? Does any indoor soil with lots of perlite work? Thank you in advance
I don’t have an answer unfortunately, but I wanted to at least share that I have this same money tree and I repotted mine in regular potting soil maybe 2 days ago. So far so good…but stay tuned I guess?

0 Mi piace I used regular ol’ potting mix! Miracle grow to be specific, but only because it was on sale, not because I’m partial to it.

I’ve got one that is in a shaded bright spot. Had a mishap with it as the soil it was in held water for too long and the roots started rotting away. I’ve now moved it into a chunky tropical mix and it’s thriving. To be fair the less you do the better
