I remember seeing somebody on here saying that their monstera liked having a moss pole, and I didn't exactly know what a moss pole is. Would my mini monstera benefit from having one of these or will he be fine with just a stick/the wall behind him to prop him up? Also I know the stick he has right now is way too small... It's just the only stick I have right now 💔
A moss pole helps the aerial roots grow and attach allowing the plant to climb. If given more surface area for climbing and root development you’ll get larger leaves with shorter space in between and overall a happier plant. I have pictures of my tetrasperma that I’m using a bendable pole with for now but I’ve recently purchased the type that you can fill with moss, haven’t switched it out yet but I’d like to change to one of those in hopes that it will be more stable. Have fun with it.
