Does anyone in this group use fish in their rain water barrel set up? I’ve been researching hung rain barrels and my husband came across some videos but they’re more homestead and farm oriented vs house plant watering.

    i do ish i have mollie fish in a no tech tank for some of my propagations but mollie dont need filters of airatikn js some auatic plants for oxygen theyre cheap too and pretty

      i have some aquatic plants bc i like them and pothos/peace lily for the fishies but i have my bigger propagations in there as well its not rainwater but yknow

    Yes put fish in it, especially if its outside. Get some tiny cheap feeder fish like mollies and let em loose. They will feed on mosquito eggs and algae, you probably wont need to feed them at all. Throw in a boiled egg yolk if you feel bad

      Amazing! I’m not sure I’m if ready to commit to a big rain barrel yet, but good to know!
