Quick questions, I just bought these beautiful plants yesterday and need to repot them. Can I use a general all purpose potting soil for all of them? If so do you have suggestions for any? Does the snake plant need a different type of potting soil, if so, what’s a good one? I’m new to taking care of plants 🪴 so any suggestions would be appreciated.
I’m not the soil expert, so can’t answer your question on that. But I will mention that you have some darling pots there! Just be sure that they have good drainage if you’re planning on repotting to those. If there are no drainage holes, you’d be better off using them as cache pots (ie put your plants in other pots with drainage holes, then place those inside the cute pots.)
1 j'aime Thank you. They all have drainage holes. I really like these pots. I have another pot without drainage holes so I’ll definitely use the idea of a cache pot. I hadn’t thought of that.

Snake and peperomia would benefit from added grit such as perlite, sand, pumice, etc. My snakes are about 50/50, and peperomias are about 25% added grit. Snake is a succulent and the peperomia is a semi succulent.

The prayer plant would do good in something that drains well but can also retain moisture, like perlite, orchid bark, LECA… This would adjust how much you water because it may dry out faster depending on the area in your home it is in.
1 j'aime Thank you. I will do that. I live in Oklahoma so, super hot, humid summers, and the rest of the year it’s just ups and down of temperatures.
