Does anyone have any tips on how to keep an Alocasia (Specifically an Alocasia micholitziana) happy? I know they can be difficult plants and mines goes in and out of good health. I've considered transitioning it to LECA but wanted some tips on overall care.
The only way i got mine to finally be happy was to put them in a glass jar with leca at the bottom and sphagnum moss

Keeping it in the same spot and roughly 5-7 feet away from the window with indirect light. Mine took 5 months to finally push out a new leaf. I thought mine was being weird for 4 of those months.
좋아요 1개Mine have been really sensitive to overwatering. I’ve almost killed both of them and had to remove all the dead roots and basically repropogate in water from a bare stem. Moving to clear pots helped me better tell when they actually need to be watered so I can avoid it when they’re still wet underneath. Mine also didn’t do well without enough light. They’re thriving in bright indirect. One of them pushes out a new leaf nearly weekly at this point!
