I know that seems a bit asinine lol. But like the castings i just mix into my regular soil/media mix as a portion of fertilizer per the directions. I no longer use neem for anything, but you'd apply it if you are seeing pests. As per the directions, until the lifestyle is dead. And ideally spray it at dusk, so the oil doesn't burn the plant

Why do you no longer use neem oil? Is there something better you recommend

Besides hating the smell, it just wasn't as effective on most pests, and is prone to burn/suffocate plants, especially if used under high light. And not environmentally friendly. For pests i use systemic granules or a spray on depending on type. I also alternate with predatory bugs when I can.
