This is catnip. First time growing it. I have no idea what to do next for this plant! Do I cut the leaves now that it’s bloomed and how do I do it? I don’t want to harm it and kill it by ignorance! 😫 help!

I have some outside and the only thing thats ever killed it is cutting it down completely to the base all at once. So if you just wanna cut some leaves off you'll pry be good.

Now when you mean base do you mean all the way to the root? When you cut the leaves you leave the little stems behind so more leaves can grow?

When I cut it down enough that it died, I it was a huge plant and I cut it down to just some two or three inch stems left at the base in one day. Since I've learned that if I wanna cut it down that much I need to spread it out over a week or so. I usually just cut a small branch off for my cat, thats the only thing I use it for. But you can just take a few leaves off too if you want to.

Basically just don't cut it down all the way all at once and you should be fine.

3rr0r404When I’m cutting herbs I cut them just above where the leaves are coming out, I took a screen shot and marked in red where I would cut (adjust to as much as you want ofc)
