I got this golden mosaic plant from heinens back in April/may and it’s been a downhill battle I have no idea what’s wrong with my plant and any advice to help save my plant would be really appreciated

MadsPlants in the Calathea family can be tough. The yellow would suggest overwatering. The brown leaf tip may be lack of humidity. These plants are happiest near a humidifier. How much light does the plant receive? Curling leaves may be from too intense light, or direct sunlight.

It was receiving direct evening and morning light for maybe an hour a each day and I looked into the brown leaves and moved it out of the sun so it’s been in a shadier spot for about a week I’ve been letting the soil dry out about half way between waterings

MaraTry backing off with the water until about 80% or so dry. Don’t wait too long though. The leaves will tell you when it’s thirsty by curling. Mine likes medium to bright indirect light. Are you using tap water?

Yeah I’ve been using tap water I did read that they can be weird about that

Try using filtered water, rainwater or a tap water conditioner you can purchase on Amazon. I’ve stopped using straight tap and it has made a big difference (little to no brown tips).. I’m sure others may have a different experience. It actually took us a while to get along. I was like, ok you’re annoying so I’m gonna put you here where you get good light and you decide what you want to do. I think it agreed with me. 😂

No problem! I think it’s worth mentioning that ctenanthe lubersiana like all marantaceae family are susceptible to spider mites. She got spider mites last year so I do carefully tilt the pot shower its leaves with every watering. It’s an extra step but worth it. Good luck! 💚
