    I’ve had a tone of air plants over the years and here are a few tips. - give them indirect light because they get too much Sun very easily (maybe 1-3 feet away from a window or grow light) - make sure you turn them every few days to get equal Sun - Water them once a week by dunking them in a bowl of water for 10 mins then flip plant over for another 10. - If your house isn’t very humid or it is hot try misting every few days because air Planta don’t like going without moisture. - Make sure your plant doesn’t have sitting water of it and isn’t constantly touching water because they mold very easily.

      Thank you! I've missed number 2! Thanks for info! I'm afraid to dunk them on water. I've had several mold over and die. So I've just been spritzing them with water, and so far I've had 1 that is extremely happy. I've had one bloom before it passed over the air plant rainbow Bridge. Do they need to be fertilized?

      I don’t personally fertilize mine but if you wanted to get some indoor fertilizer and mix a very tiny amount like 1/4 of what you normally use and mix it into the water when you dunk it on watering days. I would do this every month or 2 months

    This is pretty specific to a xerographica air plant. Besides the points below, what Melody said is also the best care practices I’ve found for my tiny air plant collection. - she did NOT like being dunked/soaked or mister between watering. she got really mad at me for both of those things. now I mist her heavily (until the water runs off of it and it’s a bright green as apposed to a silvery green). - I turn her upside down and shake her then set her, upright, on a towel to air dry for an hour. If she’s still wet after an hour, I place a small fan in front of her on low. She should be dry within another 1-2 hours. I’m always very careful there are no visible water droplets in her crown and she is completely back to a silvery-green color before putting her back in her spot.

      It seems to really help! I’ve had my Xerographica for a bit over a year now (a big deal for me!). I’ve also found that using a fertilizer seems to help. At least I feel like mine are looking better since I’ve added it into rotation.
